While some folk hate the idea of glasses (especially in the middle of a school year!), there is always something a bit magical about being able to see clearly (whether it be for the first time, or after a delay between noticing visual degradation and having it corrected).

Usually the doctor does not get to see this, as the ophthalmologist does not dispense, and the exam and dispensary parts of an optometrist’s office are often separate and segregated.

It’s always great to (re)discover directly the ways in which your knowledge and skills are able to transform someone’s life.
